Macroduct ® Sweat Collection System Download PDF

The Wescor 3700 Macroduct system is accepted worldwide as the Gold Standard for sweat stimulation and collection.

Sweat is stimulated with the Webster sweat inducer by pilocarpine iontophoresis. The Macroduct Anaerobic sweat collector is used to collect sweat for analysis for the laboratory diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. Macroduct produces an error-free sample of undiluted pure sweat for electrical conductivity analysis using the Sweat-Chek® Sweat Conductivity Analyzer, for osmolality assay using the Vapro® Vapor Pressure Osmometer, or for chloride analysis by various methods.

Sweat-ChekTM   Sweat Conductivity Analyzer

The Wescor 3120 Sweat-Chek Analyzer is accepted by laboratory professionals worldwide as the standard for testing collected sweat. It makes accurate conductivity measurements on less than 10 microliters of sweat in about 10 seconds.

Simple direct injection of six microliters of sweat from the Macroduct® collector provides electrical conductivity values for laboratory diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. The temperature of the conductivity cell is automatically maintained, and calibration check is simply performed.

Nanoduct Sweat Testing System Download PDF

The Nanoduct Neonatal Sweat Analysis System combines and miniaturizes the proven collection and analysis technologies of Macroduct and Sweat-Check to accommodate the tiny limbs of newborn infants.

Physical size is not the only Nanoduct advantage: its continuous flow sensor requires only a miniscule specimen and monitors real-time sweat electrolyte concentration with unprecedented resolution. Nanoduct now provides a reliable CF diagnosis as soon as a newborn's sweat glands are capable of producing sweat.
