This
SCHMIDT+HAENSCH automatic microprocessor controlled critical angle
refractometer is designed to measure refractive index of liquid
media independent of opacity, viscosity and colour. Consisting
of separate electronic and measuring devices, a sample volume
of 0.3 ml dropped or poured into the Peltier-thermostable sapphire
prism is sufficient for measurement. The prism is illuminated
by long life yellow LED and the angle of total reflection is detected
by diode array, which guarantees high resolution and stability.
The separate electronic housing incorporates a splash-proof alphanumeric
touch panel and a large LCD display. Batch numbers can be entered
directly and simple forms can be created and printed out. The
% Brix is temperature corrected within +10 to +50 °C. With
a working temperature between +10 °C and +70 °C, the ATR-W2
is ideal many applications in the chemical, food, beverage, medical,
pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries.

Equipped
with extensive software and a thermostatable sapphire prism, the
DUR is designed to measure the refractive index of liquid media
independent of opacity, viscosity and colour. Constructed of stainless
steel, the DUR-SW can be placed horizontally or vertically. A
range of sample chamber seals, with or without water circulation,
and the facility for manual or fully-automatic sample changing
completes the versatility. The DUR models feature high accuracy
measurements with sample identification, real time clock, up to
30 free programmable user specific scales and self-check for error
detection. Data transfer to printer or PC is via a RS 232 C interface
and additional interfaces are available. The DUR measuring head
may be coupled to the POLARTRONIC M, H, and SACCHAROMAT models,
reducing investment costs considerably. DUR-SW is ideal for applications
in the chemical, food, beverage, medical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical
industries.

Ideal
for online use within process environments, the IPR 3/2 is a modular,
automatic refractometer designed to measure continuously the refractive
index of liquids. From this, the concentration of a binary or
quasi-binary liquid mixture may be determined. IPR 3/2 is a modular
system - the electronic controller (IPR2) being capable of working
with up to three measuring heads (IPR3). A basic configuration
is one sensor coupled with one electronic unit. The IPR2 controller
has a freely configurable LCD display, a keypad for data input,
menu selection and programming, and a n RS232 serial interface
for data exchange. Highly flexible, the IPR3 head benefits from
a large measurement range. The head is manufactured from stainless
steel for chemical resistance making it suitable for foodstuffs
and CIP and pipe pig use. It can be installed in pipes, reactor
vessels, mixing tanks, kettles, boiling pans and evaporators,
using different weld-in flanges. The measurement is independent
of light intensity from the light emitting diode (LED) and is
free of signal drift, granting high precision and better process
control. The IPR 3/2 is unaffected by colour, turbidity, undissolved
particles or gas bubbles.
