 Polartronic
HHW5 is a precise, high-resolution Polarimeter with 5 wavelengths
- ideal for QC and research laboratories. This fully electronic
polarimeter has a rotating analyser directly coupled to the optical
encoder to ensure stability and accuracy over the whole measuring
range. Flow through measurements are easily performed and the
instrument is equipped with 4 freely definable function keys and
a numeric keypad. Customers can programme up to 30 special scales
(glucose, MSG, etc.) and versatile software eases the establishment
of test routines and configurations. It is equipped with a configurable
RS232 interface and other interfaces are available. The circle
polarimeter can be equipped with 5 different wavelengths in the
range of 405 to 589nm or in the range of 540 to 882nm. This model
may be connected to the measuring head of a DUR series refractometer
so that both instruments are controlled with a single electronic
unit, with both sets of values displayed.

Polartronic NH8 is a fully automatic 589 nm circle polarimeter.
Once again, the rotating analyser is coupled directly to the optical
encoder to ensure accuracy and stability. The NH8 constantly displays
the actual rotation value of the sample, the result being shown
in angular degrees. The simple control panel aids switching to
other scales, which are the International Sugar Scale (reading
of 100.0 °Z for 26.0 g of pure sucrose in 100 cm3 of solution)
and °Z*2 (13 g instead of 26 g). Customers can easily define
their own scales as well. Instrument control is via four function
keys and a one line, 16 character LCD display that will show laevorotating
samples. The instrument is equipped with software for test routines
and instrument configurations and a configurable RS232 interface.
Other interfaces (or additional) are available. The resolution
of the NH8 is in complete conformity with the European and American
Pharmacopoeia. All necessary data for a GLP/GMP-conform documentation
can be transmitted as text line for the printer or ASCII-data
row for the PC via serial RS232-interface to a printer or to a
personal computer.

The Saccharomat is a fully automatic 882,44 nm sugar polarimeter
with quartz wedge compensation that complies fully with the ICUMSA
recommendations. The quartz wedge principle directly compares
the rotation of the sugar sample to that of the quartz. Unlike
a circle type polarimeter, the wedge type is not sensitive to
small changes in the wavelength, eliminating the need for checking
and re-calibration with a quartz plate and making the instrument
very accurate. Samples do not have to be clarified due to the
NIR wavelengths. Saccharomat constantly displays the value of
the sample in the International Sugar Scale, ISS. The 8 lines-30
characters per line-LCD display is freely configurable and the
instrument comes with versatile control software with test routines
and configuration menus for the instrument. A configurable RS232
interface is standard and other interfaces are available. This
model may be connected to the measuring head of a DUR series refractometer
so that both instruments are controlled with a single electronic
unit, with both sets of values displayed.
