Now
there's an easy way to bring the power, accuracy and sheer speed
of fiber optic technology to your dissolution research. The new
Fiber Optics Dissolution System is a complete package that provides
immediate data points from all specimens for dissolution rate
analysis. Ideal for formulations labs and method development teams
investigating immediate release products, this system includes
the Hanson SR8-Plus Dissolution Test Station, C Technologies IO
Fiber Optic Analysis System (featuring a Varian Cary 50 UV/VIS
Spectrophotometer), and a complete System Validation Package.

Advantages of the Hanson
System
- Complete fiber optic dissolution system providing everything
you need for research, method development and quality control
programs.
- Fiber optic technology eliminates the need to remove samples.
The concentration of dissolved constituent is measured in situ,
directly in the vessel.
- Immediate data points are provided from all specimens for
comprehensive dissolution rate analysis.
- Ideal research tool for formulations teams investigating
drug release characteristics and variances caused by formula
modifications.
- System components include industry-proven Hanson SR8-Plus
dissolution tester, C Technologies fiber optic system, and Varian
Cary 50 detector.
- Hanson E-Probes automatically drop fiber optic probes to
specified sampling position in vessels, then return back to
media level after sample analysis.
- A single scanning UV/VIS spectrophotometer eliminates stray
light problems as well as the need for cross-calibration and
corrections common with other fiber optic systems.
- An extensive data acquisition and analysis software package
is included with the fully-loaded PC workstation.
- A complete system validation package is available. Hanson
and C Tech/Varian software is USP/FDA compliant, including 21CFR11.

The Hanson AutoPlus is a new precision syringe-pump
sampling system for dissolution testing and analysis. The AutoPlus
represents thirty years of dissolution test know-how
at Hanson Research. We were the first in the business with a dissolution
bath in 1969 and a fully automated dissolution test system in
1975. Our precision syringe-pump sampling systems began with the
Microette in 1991, and were enhanced with the Waters Transfer
Module in 1998. These new AutoPlus systems bring
autosampling power, performance and throughput to the modern pharmaceutical
lab that is unequalled in the dissolution industry.
The basic AutoPlus platform consists of a choice
of 6 or 8 precision glass sampling syringes, with internal valve
interfacing, driven by a stepper motor control, in one compact
ergonomic instrument package. Teflon tubing harnesses connect
up to 3 dissolution baths, along with multi-cell changers for
on-line UV/VIS sample analysis, as well as collection trays for
sample archive. Easy-Icon programming with graphical display provides
a wide range of dissolution test applications, including detect
and collect, multi-bath sampling, and routines for set-up, cleaning,
validation, 21CFR11, and diagnostics.
The AutoPlus is designed to interface with the
Agilent 8453 ChemStation and other modern spectrophotometers with
multi-cell capability, and includes communications protocols via
contact closure, RS232 and dynamic data exchange (DDE). Similar
to the Hanson SR8-Plus "virtual instrument" programming, the
AutoPlus is a smart device that anticipates
user requirements for set-up, test run, sample throughput and
validation. User-friendly features include protocol memory with
password protection, continuous display of test conditions and
status, user prompts and help screens (ideal for training). The
AutoPlus maximizes laboratory efficiency by
handling extensive methods, problem drugs, surfactants and other
media.
